All about rice

Overslept this morning, but I woke up and brunch was already prepared! Younhee made "sushi" for us using leftover rice, topped it up tuna salad (tuna, eggs, onions, and mayo) and wrapped it with seaweed. It was quite an innovation! Got changed and headed to school to work out.

I cooked fried rice for dinner tonight with spam, mixed vegetables, onions, garlic, and eggs. Instead of my usual oyster sauce and ketchup mix, I used a mix of Korean chili and sauces. Successful! We all had 2 servings and Younhee had 3! (:

By the way, did you know the word ketchup was borrowed from Cantonese (koe chiap), and then Malay (kechap), and then Dutch (ketjap) and finally English? I thought it was so cool.

Baby is flying to China tonight. Now I really need to set many, many alarms to get up in the morning for yoga. Can't wait to see you when you come back! Kiss kiss.
