Just in time for brunch
It's hard to get up from bed when you have such a comfortable bed and two comforters that gives you warmth. So, despite 6 alarms, I still couldn't get up to make breakfast! Brunch, it was. Looks good? I think so too, but instead of slicing my bread, I decided to half it with my fingers... so it looked like someone ate half of it.
Scrambled eggs with really tiny shrimp, mushrooms, green onions, onions, and melted very a teeny weeny bit of cheese.
Mashed potatoes, seasoned with a teeny weeny bit of milk, honey, salt, pepper, and sugar.
Spinach salad, with ham, walnuts, real bacon bits, mushrooms, and croutons. Drizzled with Italian dressing.
Wholewheat bread, halved and toasted, with a dollop of strawberry jam.
So, I was just thinking. If we have a word 'brunch' for breakfast and lunch, what would lunch and dinner be? 'Dinch', perhaps? By the way, as a linguistic note, the word brunch is a type of blending, otherwise known as purposeful creations. Let's see, smog, spork, skort, motel, flush...
Have a good day!
