The Golden Gate

So far, I think Cruz really enjoys Northern California! J has been a really good personal tour guide while I just sit at the back seat, absorbing information that I already heard a thousand times and taking in what I haven't knew from before. The weather in San Francisco today played a great host. We didn't even need a sweater in the earlier parts of the day and there was no fog to cover the Golden Gate! We walked around the city with a cup of Starbucks in our hands. I told Cruz he had to go to Ghirardelli Square because it was the first chocolate factory in SF, and when the boys saw Kara's Cupcakes, they said I was a cunning tour guide.

We walked over to Pier 39 from Ghirardelli Square and the usual local fresh produce was replaced by barrels and barrels of bath salts! My favorites were ocean breeze and lavender. I wanted to buy some back but conserving water is more important, right? We didn't leave the city until we saw the night lights and had dinner at Chinatown.
