Yosemite

{reflections}

I woke up quarter to seven to make sandwiches to bring on the road for our 4 hour car ride to Yosemite National Park. J's mom made curry fishballs (咖喱魚蛋) and noodles for lunch and it probably was the best meal we had that day considering that Yosemite has no food at all and we were all so very hungry.

I don't know if it's Cruz who brought us good luck, but Glacier Point was open! It's usually closed throughout the winter because it gets icy. Although the sun was out, the weather was still icy cold. We walked around the national park and found a place to settle to watch the sun set and then, I saw the most surreal sight ever. I have never seen the moon so close to me as it rises above the Half Dome. It was truly an unforgettable sight. I only wished I had a zoom lens to capture the beauty of it.

We left after admiring the moon and after the boys were tired of taking goofy pictures. It was really getting cold and the dark and everyone was tired after a day's worth of hiking, but we all had fun. Tomorrow we're going to take Cruz to the city!
