Monterey Peninsula

{rocks at Spanish Bay; 17 Mile Drive}

J and I took Cruz to the scenic 17-Mile Drive where we stopped to admire gorgeous vistas and take touristy photos. Each vista point has its own beauty and I was so fascinated by all the rocks at Spanish Bay; the Lone Cypress and Restless Sea are also among my favorite picturesque spots. Nature always impresses us in ways we don't expect.

We arrived at Fisherman's Wharf, all famished but warmly welcomed by the smell of clam chowder. We took our time to sample each restaurant's chowder, and it definitely becomes hard to decide on one since all the chowders are different. We settled on one that wasn't too creamy or cheesy and lucky us, we had a window seat that overlooked the pier.

Our last stop was Carmel by the Sea. We arrived after sun down, and Carmel is even prettier at night. I always love going back to this quaint storybook village with its art galleries and unique boutiques, and antique nooks.
