Weekend Getaway Day 2: The City of Angels

Buenos Dias! Joe and I had brunch at Kang Kang Xiao Mei. Needless to say, we were there for their famous 生煎包. Sometimes I get confused and say it as 肥小包, although I'm not entirely sure how I came up with that idea. We wanted to order the set meal (our usual)too, but Joe saw 牛肉卷饼 and we decided to try it. Both the 生煎包 and 牛肉卷饼 were delightful.

We ordered 生煎包 for Sabrina and picked her up! Then we were off to a dessert marathon which was totally spontaneous, or perhaps not. Our first stop (finally!), Sprinkles Ice Cream! All three of us got the red velvet ice cream and S got another scoop of chocolate ice cream. We loved the red velvet so much!

After we finished our ice-cream, we very conveniently walked over to Sprinkles and went crazy over the cupcake ATM. Joe said to buy a cupcake -- wait a moment, did my boyfriend just ask me to buy a cupcake? That's something I've never heard before...so of course, we bought the S'mores cupcake! Sabrina got the Dark Chocolate Banana cupcake!

We window shopped around Rodeo Drive and decided we wanted to try the ice-cream at Milk because of all the reviews on Yelp! This time, we shared a blueberry crumble pie macaron ice-cream sandwich! I'm so glad we shared one because it was huge!

{my name is Amada}

{I honestly meant to smile}

Can you believe we still had room for dinner? We headed back to Monterey Park and met up with the rest of the group at Jazz Cat! I have been craving this place since I left L.A!! I love hot pot, and I love it even more when I can have my own individual hot pot! I chose Thai Spicy for my broth base -- can't get enough of it!!

{mine, all mine!}

After a day of desserts, it was so good to have something hot and spicy! I miss it already! The guys wanted to go karaoke, and I reluctantly followed them. But I had so much, so much, so much fun. Sabrina, whose voice is so pure, angelic, and sweet, dedicated a song called 一个像夏天一个像秋天 for me and I was so touched I cried. She cried too. We hugged and at that moment, I know how much I meat to her and how much she means to me. I love this girl so much!!

{我离不开darling更离不开你}

We stopped over at LACMA to see the lights and take a few photos before sending Sabrina home and heading back to the hotel for a well deserved rest! I can't believe tomorrow will be our last day in Los Angeles. ):
